Private driver, taxi, shuttle, TGV or RER: how to get to Disneyland Paris?
Between the Paris airports, central Paris and Disneyland Paris, there are five main ways to travel. Each has its strengths: the right choice depends on the number of travellers, your luggage, the time of day and your budget. Here is an honest comparison — including the cases where a private driver is not the best option.

HMD Transport is a pre-booked private driver service (VTC) whose driver also holds the professional taxi card. Our prices are given below; for the other options we compare criteria rather than prices, as their fares and timetables change regularly — check them with the operators.

Private driver (VTC) booked in advance
A vehicle reserved for you, from door to door, at a price confirmed before you book: Paris ↔ Disneyland Paris for a fixed €75, Charles de Gaulle ↔ Disney hotels from €84 to €101, Orly ↔ Disney hotels from €106 to €111. The price is for the whole vehicle, so it becomes more attractive the more of you there are. Flights and trains are tracked and waiting is free if they are late.
Taxi taken on the spot
Taxis at airport ranks or hailed in the street also take you door to door, with no booking. Paris taxis apply regulated flat fares between Paris and the CDG and Orly airports; for other journeys, such as to Disneyland Paris, the fare is usually metered, so the final price depends on traffic. Availability at night or at peak times is not guaranteed.
Shared shuttle coach
Coach shuttles link the airports to the Disneyland Paris hotels. They are priced per person and can be good value for a single traveller or a couple. On the other hand, they run to a timetable, stop at several hotels in turn and have limited room for luggage and pushchairs.
TGV and RER
From Charles de Gaulle airport, the TGV reaches Marne-la-Vallée – Chessy station, next to the parks, in a few minutes — but departures are limited and you still need to get from the station to your hotel. The RER is the cheapest option: line A runs directly from central Paris (Châtelet, Gare de Lyon) to Chessy in about 40 minutes; from CDG you need RER B then RER A, about an hour and a half; from Orly, Orlyval or a bus then two RER lines. Expect stairs, crowds at rush hour and no service in the early hours.
So which should you choose?
- Travelling alone or as a couple, light luggage, during the day: the RER or the shuttle are the most economical.
- Family or group, several suitcases, pushchairs: the private driver, for the price of the whole vehicle and no changes.
- Very early flight or late arrival: the private driver, available 24/7, when trains are not running.
- Arriving at CDG with little luggage and a convenient TGV: the TGV, then a short transfer from Chessy station to your hotel.
Frequently asked questions
What is the cheapest way to get to Disneyland Paris?
For one person with little luggage, the RER is the cheapest. For a family or group, a private driver at a fixed price per vehicle is often comparable to buying tickets for everyone, with no changes.
What is the difference between a VTC and a taxi?
A VTC (private hire car with driver) is booked in advance at a price agreed before the journey. A taxi can also be taken at a rank or hailed in the street, and uses a meter outside the regulated flat fares.
Is there a direct train from Orly to Disneyland Paris?
No. By public transport you have to cross Paris and change at least once.
